During this very busy time of the year now is a great time to focus on simple suggestions to be even more happy and healthy for the holidays and carry it through to the New Year.

This is also a great time to set new intentions for the New Year and begin to think about what will help you manifest and master the life of your dreams.

While many people have faced challenges and issues in various areas of their life there is always a silver lining when you look for it. It is important to realize that everything happens for a reason and there are multiple interpretations to explain the events of our lives. It is up to us to develop core habits and rituals that help maintain our focus and mental clarity in the face of adversity. Anyone with the desire and determination can find a way when they are totally committed.

Most people in the developed world have more everyday abundance and comforts than the majority of the world’s population. Focus on what you do have instead of what you do not have. It is easy to allow the media to mesmerize you with new fashions, possessions and toys. Most of us have excess clothes and things we seldom wear or use yet we frequently want even more.

Focus on those areas that are the most important to your quality of life. The quality of your life is in direct proportion to the quality of your personal wheel of life which includes many areas such as: education, self growth, health, happiness, relationships, spiritual, career, finances and contribution. What we focus on and move towards daily we will manifest more of in or lives. This includes empowering as well as disempowering aspects.

Live by the golden rule: Treat others as you wish to be treated. It is easy to be nice to someone that is nice to you first. The real test is to treat others nice even if they are not that way to you first. Learn to treat others well even if they do not treat you well first. Imagine a world were everyone set the intention to treat everyone they met with mutual dignity, honor and respect

Appreciate and love everyone in your primary and extended family. Sometimes we treat strangers better than our own family. Let go of those old gripes and grudges. With your family, friends and community focus on being a great leader and role model by offering compliments and cooperation.

Being a role model is a much better approach than using criticism and competition to put others down as you inflate your own ego. Set your standards high to always “take the high road” and “walk the talk”. Be a shining star and respected role model for others to emulate.

Avoid the temptation to cheat, lie or steal in any area of your life. Remember to embrace honesty and integrity as some of your highest values. While it may not always be easy in the moment to be honest, it will make your life a lot easier in the long run to always tell the truth. The truth will set you free and help make your life easier and less stressful. Most people are not consistently honest at all times and this lack of integrity is one of the most destructive forces in society. Lies hurt the person telling them, the person hearing them and all the people affected by them.
