MassageAre back aches and pain a part of getting older and everyday life or are they avoidable and even reversible? Our last blog post was on inflammation which may be the root cause of all chronic disease and health issues including back aches. Back aches and pain are serious issues and cause many people a lot of down time and missed work. Many people even end up with surgery to attempt to correct their back aches and pain. So what can we do to avoid back aches and pain to have a healthy back and spine? There are many ideas and theories on what is the main causes of back aches and pain. Inflammation and injuries are two of the most common reasons people struggle with back issues. Many experts say it is from our sedentary lifestyle. Many experts and moms say it is poor posture that end up causing us back aches and pain. Dr John Sarno M.D. said it was caused by anxiety and stress. Some say it is our mattress and pillows can cause back and neck pain. Others say it comes from improper bending and lifting. Maybe it is a combination of all these factors combined with inflammation. So how do we maintain a fit, healthy and strong back that is flexible, healthy and pain free?

Being healthy and pain free is a top priority for most of us therefore we must continually be rethinking and reviewing all aspects of our fitness, lifestyle, nutrition and posture. After many approaches and considerable trial and error my current health mastery success strategy is a lifestyle to optimize exercise, fitness, lifestyle and posture for overall back, neck and spine health and wellness.

Stop Inflammation and Start Moving More

All indications seem to be pointing to inflammation and lack of movement as major factors contributing to chronic back aches and pain. We know we should have a healthy lifestyle but we make excuses and procrastinate to avoid facing the reality of our being the captain of our own destiny. A mostly plant based organic whole foods diet combined with intermittent fasting and functional fitness programs could go a long way to helping many people be healthier and reduce inflammation and hence back aches and pain. My goal is to help you find a common sense conclusion to dump the obviously wrong low fat and high carbohydrate diet and start moving a lot more to mimic our entire human history.

A Woman's BackWhile I have studied the issues with back aches, pain and inflammation for many years it seems best to go to the experts for the cutting edge information and research on how to deal with, prevent and even reverse them. There are many great experts and researchers regarding exercise, fitness and healthy lifestyle that can save you energy, money and time when it comes to caring for your back, neck and spine. Many of them feel that proper exercises, fitness and movement combined with the Ketogenic diet are great suggestions so here are many excellent sources for in depth references and research to avoid and overcome back aches, pain and inflammation.
