After recent blogs about cancer-causing chemicals and toxins, it is time to switch gears toward the upcoming Earth Day on April 22, 2023. Today seemed like a good day to talk about various edible medicinal plants. This blog is dedicated to the adventure, benefits, health, pioneering spirit, and survival skills gained by knowing how to eat flavorful flowers, healthy herbs, medicinal mushrooms, and wild weeds.

Our ancestors grew up with a wealth of wisdom regarding how to farm, find, and forage for a wide assortment of flowers, herbs, mushrooms, and weeds to supplement their meals and also survive tough wars, weather, and winters. Many of these skills have been abandoned or lost over time. Fortunately, many farmers, foragers, herbalists, homesteaders, indigenous people, medicine men, native cultures, preppers, and wildcraft experts have retained the wealth of wisdom to pass the information on to future generations.

In many parts of Europe, people still go foraging for berries, herbs, mushrooms, and medicinal weeds. In many parts of Africa, Asia, Canada, Central America, and South America, people still know how to find and harvest flowers, herbs, mushrooms, and weeds to be used for food and medicine.

The passion and purpose of Morningstar NEWS are to help people with education, information, inspiration, and motivation to avoid health hazards. This information on medicinal plants can help you enjoy additional antioxidants, enzymes, flavors, immune support, and nutrition. If you want to be happy, healthy, and in harmony, it may be beneficial and medicinal to tap into the many flavorful flowers, healthy herbs, medicinal mushrooms, and wild weeds that nature offers and our creator created for us.
